Your hearing assessment consultation will take about an hour. It can help to have a friend or relative come with you. We will take a detailed history from you about any difficulties you experience with your hearing. We will also enquire about your general health and lifestyle so we can find the best solution tailored to your specific needs.
At this appointment, one of our experienced Audiologists will:
- Take a thorough history of any ear or hearing problems,
- Visually examine the ears and auditory canal,
- Full audiometric hearing assessment,
- We will also test the health and function of the ear drum and middle ear using tympanometry.
Once we have all the necessary information, we discuss the results with you to give you a full explanation of the findings. We will then provide impartial expert advice on the solutions available to suit your needs.
Should you require an onward to referral to your GP or an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor, we can assist with this. We also have links to the Hypatia Clinic to help any client with dizziness or balance problems.
