Welcome back and Hello to 2022!
Vicky, Sarah and Madeleine took a well earned break between Christmas and New Year and are now back with batteries recharged and their ever flowing enthusiasm for a new year at Lakeland Hearing.
We hope you all had a lovely festive period and we look forward to seeing many of you this year.
The start of a new year is often a time to address issues with renewed vigour and commitment. If you have noticing some changes to your hearing ability recently please don’t put it off. Come into the clinic and talk to Vicky or Madeleine our audiologists.
- Do you feel like people are mumbling?
- Is it tiring to keep up with conversation?
- Does background noise stop you from enjoying your social life?
We see so many clients who wish they had come in to see us sooner, had a hearing assessment and trialled a hearing aid. They realise how much they had been missing in conversation and in life – the bird song that they hadn’t noticed slipping away, or the chatter of family life that was missed.
Our audiologists can talk to you about any difficulties you may be experiencing. They can do a full assessment of your hearing and talk you through the results. A typical appointment would include a visual inspection of your ear and ear drum. A pure tone hearing assessment where you respond to sounds you can hear by pressing a button. Tympanometry to check the function of your middle ear and in some cases, speech testing to see how your hearing loss affects your ability to hear speech in the presence of background noise.
